Decision has been made...Aidan will be getting a trach. Aidan actually made the decision for us, he just couldn't tolerate CPAP at night, it just wasn't enough support. This was by far the HARDEST decision Kip and I have had to make, but was it really a decision? What was the alternative??

I know this wasn't the way you wanted things to go, but I pray that you can have peace about this decision. You can count on us to continue to pray for all 3 of you as you move towards the surgery, recovery and eventually going home. I have no doubt that you will learn to manage all of this new stuff and that you will grow stronger through this experience. Please keep us posted as you can. (((HUGS)))
